About the Instructor
A long-time Wausau resident, Marlowe C. Embree has over ten years' experience as a career management consultant in addition to his work as a college teacher and researcher. He holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Denver and a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is currently employed as Senior Lecturer in Psychology at UWMC and is also the president of Kaleidoscope Consulting Services LLC, a consulting firm providing soft skills and career transition management services to individuals and organizations in the central Wisconsin area. Dr. Embree has published numerous articles on career self-management in such national and regional venues as the National Business Employment Weekly, Employment Solutions, Outsource Resource, Type Reporter and more, as well as a full-length book, Self-Managing Your Career: An Interactive Career Workbook. He is a popular speaker and presenter in the area. His research interests center around the relationships among personality, cognitive styles, and worldviews and values.
