governs students affairs, sponsors special; events and activities, approves the
annual segregated fee budget, charters campus clubs, provides leadership
training, and appoints students to campus committees.

one senator from Marathon Hall, the Vice President & Women’s Issues Director are
elected in the fall during the second week of the semester. All of the other
members of the executive board are elected in April for the following school
year. Nomination forms for senator and executive positions are available from
the SGA office (room 186) or the
SGA Advisor's office (in Student Services) four
weeks prior to an election.

Clubs and Organizations
Campus clubs
offer opportunities for students to share similar interests while enhancing
skills, which can bolster resumes, references, and scholarship applications. To
create a campus club, all that is needed is a constitution stating the club's
purpose and meeting schedule, an election of four student officers, and a
faculty or staff advisor. Officially chartered clubs can request up to $500 from
the Student Government Association and utilize campus resources such as meeting
rooms and bulletin boards. Past and present clubs include:
Animation Appreciation Society, Anthropology, Armchair Philosophy, Art, Botany,
Business, Campus Crusade for Christ, Community Building Club, Computer, Dance,
Diversity, Drama, Engineering, Environmental, Feminists, Gamers, Harry Potter,
Hockey, LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Question/Queer),
Movie, PEER (Peer Empowerment Education Resource), Political Action,
Programming, Robotics, Support our Troops, Vegetarian, and Writers Workshop.
Club forms, advisor contacts, and additional information are available on the
Club Resources
webpage, from the
