UWMC faculty to lead book discussion

How the quality of life and the happiness of communities are tied to consumerism and an economy based on constant growth will be the focus of a book discussion led by University of Wisconsin-Marathon County senior lecturer Mark Parman.

The book, “Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future” by Bill McKibben, will be discussed on Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library (MCPL) in downtown Wausau.

The public is invited to participate in the free discussion. Copies of the book can be checked out to read in advance.
