High School Recruiter
Position Description & Duties


Position Summary:

This position is a 20% (approx 400 hours during academic year) position. Primary responsibilities include the recruitment of high school aged-students through high school visits and educational fairs. Other duties will include summer registration/orientation participation and assigned duties

Duties:

Recruiting (70% - approx 280 hours in the academic year)
  - Visit approximately 50 high schools throughout north central WI to recruit high school students and develop connectivity with HS Counselors and other personnel.

Coordinate (15% - approx 60 hours in the academic year)
  - Coordinate the WEF for UWMC in Sept and attend various educational fairs throughout the year.

Other Responsibilities (15% - approx 60 hours in the academic year)
  - Attend weekly staff meeting (normally an afternoon timeslot).
  - Provide follow-ups with students by phone and in writing
  - Assist with Summer Registration/Orientation
  - Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Campus Dean of Student Services.

Assistant Campus Dean of Student Services

Job Qualifications:


Required:
  - Bachelor’s degree required
  - Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to team building
  - Recruiting and/or advising is helpful
  - Knowledge and skills in working with Microsoft Office
  - Ability to work with minimal direction

Preferred:
  - Master’s degree
  - UW College experience
